Ashley Jade (AJ) is a Professional Dancer, Choreographer, and the Founder of Dance Aesthetic, currently based in New Jersey/NYC.

She earned her B.F.A. in Dance from The Boston Conservatory in 2014, with concentrations in Contemporary, Concert Jazz, Choreography, and Improvisation. While at the conservatory, she performed lead roles in works, ‘Psalm’ by Jose Limón, ‘Eight Jelly Rolls’ by Twyla Tharp, ‘A Root in Liberty’ by Francesca Harper, as well as performed in works by Tommy Neblett, Robert Moses, and Anna Myer. AJ spent summers participating in professional dance intensives including Bates Dance Festival, Strictly Seattle, and Springboard Danse Montreal where she performed in works by Delfos Danza, Peter Chu, La Tresse, and Zoe Scofield.

She propelled her career by participating in a professional dance residency with company, Delfos Danza Contemporanea in Mazatlán, Mexico. During her residency, AJ trained in floorwork technique, Piso Movil, under the tutelage of Omar Carrum.

Ashley Jade Co-Founded Seattle based dance company, Undercurrent, and Co-Directed the company from 2017-2019. During her time with Undercurrent, she had the pleasure of leading weekly floorwork based professional level classes alongside Hilary Grumman and Liv Fauver on faculty at Velocity Dance Center and at the Fremont Abbey.

Her choreographic works have premiered in Mazatlán (MX), Vancouver (BC), Seattle (WA), and Boston (MA).

Currently, AJ works as a social media content creator for brands and events, creates online dance tutorials specializing in contemporary floor work, and offers private dance instruction, guest choreography, and master classes worldwide.
